Performance Investigation of a Hollow Fiber Membrane-Based Desiccant Liquid Air Dehumidification System

The membrane-based desiccant liquid air dehumidification system is a promising technology for efficient humidity control in buildings. use of membrane module allows, among other things, compact design with relatively large heat and mass transfer area eliminates carryover solution droplets. In this paper, cross-flow, hollow-fiber was proposed regeneration lithium chloride. A two-dimensional model cross-flow used developed. effectiveness, moisture removal rate were studied numerically validated against experimental results. Based on the numerical simulations, most favorable ranges operating conditions determined. It found that significantly impact performance. dehumidifier maintains its performance wide range inlet ratios. For dehumidification, recommended temperature incoming 14–18 °C, while 40–50 °C. packing fraction suggested 0.30–0.40. These results can help systems.
